An event is full of circumstances which may be a total turning point in human's life. Man is just living life; where life will take him; he has no idea. Our destinies are unknown; however, the decision we are making today mindfully which would contain undeniable effects in our futures. Life is all about dreams, living it justly is always making the differences by hard work respect and honesty. Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke is one of the saviors of humanity. His unique clear goal in his existence was taking human beings from darkness to light; lie to truth; pessimism to optimism; inhumanity to humanity.
What is (18 Safar) ?
“18 Safar” is the day of dignity; the day of victory; the day of salvation; the day of sacrifice; the day of rising the truth and falling of the lie. "18 Safar", is the day of departure of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke to exile in Gabon according to the Muslim calendar. After the French colonizers worried about his activities, they decided to exterminate him and demolish his teaching the Murid brotherhood. But their dreams turned into nightmares, (Cheikh) was as the sun nothing could prevent him from rising above everything; everywhere. Finally they decided to return him back to the Senegal in 1902.

Under the approval of the Governor durning the private sessions of the private council the director of political affairs submits a report relevent to the activites of a religious chief by the name of Ahmad Bamba whose activites threatened the tranquility located between the Ferlo, the Baol, the Cayor, the Ndiambour and the Oalo regions.

During the month of Safar (second month in the islamic calendar), there will be incessant chatter about the Magal of Touba, especially online where transnational communities come together. The need to explain the origin and background of this event is pressing, given the benefits that come from such an endeavor. The following article therefore summarizes the history, origin and importance of this event for Senegalese Muridiya and for non-Senegalese who also follow the teachers of Shaykh Ahmadu Bamba (May Allah be pleased with Him).
First it is essential to define Muridiya, for those unfamiliar. The term Muridiya derives from the Arabic "Al Muriid" an Al Muriid is a person who longs for the meeting with his Lord by having a devoted aspiration.

The following letter is from the inhabitants of the Illuminated City, the Noble People, the Imams, the Muezzins, the Aghawat (Turkish Officers) and all of the servants of the Sacred Interior(Hurum) of the Purest Elected Person al Mustafa( the Chosen One) the Prayer and Blessing of God be upon him.
To the Most Distinguished Virtuous Master, the leader of the Qadiriyya Brotherhood and other paths leading to God and His Messenger, Spiritual Guide of the candidates (Muridin) of the Right Way and the Religious Law of the Supreme Messenger (who is) in this instance our Guide Shaykh Ahmad Bamba.

IN THE NAME OF GOD, THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL
- Verily! We have sent it (this Qur'an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)
- And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?
- The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months)
- Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allah's Permission with all Decrees
- Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.
